Sunflower Strategists, LLC provides consulting and facilitation services for nonprofit, governmental, and community-based organizations. We support partners in uprooting internal hierarchies and oppressive dynamics while nurturing leadership, racial and gender justice, and organizational transformation.

OUR MISSION

Sunflower Strategists’ mission is to grow successful social movements stewarded by skilled, principled, and healing-centered leaders and organizations through political education, strategic planning support, conflict transformation, and facilitation services.

PRIMARY FOCUS AREAS

Our team draws on 25+ years of combined training, organizing, and community healing experience to offer a range of services in support of our mission:

  • Political Education: Tools and training for building competencies for feminisms, racial & gender justice, anti-Blackness, healing & transformative justice.

  • Capacity Building: Tools and training for building competencies for organizational development, leadership, and conflict transformation.

  • Healing & Restorative Justice Practices: We see the trauma felt specifically by Black people as compounded, constant, and complex. Liberation demands us to reimagine relationships and race and to build a world where Black people have space and time to heal.

Our approach to leadership and organizational transformation draws on legacies of civil rights and Black Power organizing, women of color feminisms, and healing justice. We further sharpen our analysis and core methods based on lessons from social movements outside the United States.
